Remembering Grandma Karen....

It is super hard to believe that is has been 3 years since my mom passed away. Three years today. How quickly and how slowly time goes by. I miss her lots! Especially that contagious laugh.
For those of you who knew her....you know her laugh....and you also know she was known by "grandma karen."

I'm not sure she ever like my hair styling....but I did get to style her hair often. Not much you can do with that short of hair. I'll never forget the time we had together, caring for her the last few months of her life. What a fighter. Her strength is admirable.

This picture was taken the day I went through the temple....the last day my mom went through the temple. She was happy to be there....and had many friends and family there for support, but this day was extremely tiring and difficult for her to endure. I'll never forget her never ending selflessness.

Nobody can inspire and motivate their children like a mother. I often find myself wondering what she would tell me about my life right now.
Love and Miss you more than words mom!

Random Pics.....

This is Eric holding my youngest nephew Jonathan....who has a tendency to only let males (strangers) hold him. Too precious. He wouldn't even really let me hold him. If he does....its for moments at a time. Look at those big brown eyes and beautiful complexion:) All my brothers kids are blessed with skin and dark features like that.

On our way back from Idaho we spent some quality time on none other than Ms. Pac-man. Oh, and that other space game. I beat Eric at pac man.

This is little Miss Zoe Bug, during one of her T-ball games! So funny to watch her. When she bats....she absolutely has to have about 8-10 practice swings, ya know, where they pretend they'll hit it to practice the line up. So funny to watch little kids find their coordination. Not only is she just learning...but she's left handed, putting a twist on everything.

Zoe and Zach had a game at the same time. This is Zach up to bat with Coach Pitch ball. He hit the ball great, and I guess had a couple double hits this season....and I think a triple. The kid is hillarious and come a long way with sports.

This is one of Jonathan's big sisters taking me down. Jessie is a spit fire....and often reminds us of grandma Karen.

Favorite Bed

This is the most awesome bed EVER! My total dream bed...and the furniture that goes with it is all old, country lookin. However, it has also been discontinued....the new bed has a black leather and wood head/footboard.....I could buy it now....however the room I live in is so small.....It would not fit another thing in it. Hmmmmmmm......Maybe its worth it.

IDAHO FOR THE WEEKEND....

This past weekend, Eric and I took of for a trip to Idaho. Boise to be exact. We went to check the place out. Plans are to move that direction come the end of the year. Beautiful. The day we returned, only a nice 60 degrees!
We had the chance to drive up the mountain to Idaho City. It was for the most part, an awesome drive....(once we hit the mountain part...:) ) There was river running by the road for most of the drive. We stopped just for a second to check out the scenery.
Being that the sun rises in Boise somewhere around 6ish(?) and doesn't set until near 11pm, it was easy to hang out late. These are a few shots just before trying an awesome steak house in town. The bread and salad were delectable! (which was the word of the night for our server/bar tender) The Prime rib was nothing more than below average. But it was definitely a good time. the place reminded me a lot of Texas Roadhouse.

Here's Eric striking one of his many poses as I kept messing up the pictures.....

Not to bad for a take it yourself pic. I am not very good at those!

Just for fun :)

This is the tragedy I came home to. The yard at my rental place has manual sprinklers....so just before I left I mowed the beautiful, long, green-all-the-way-around grass: Today, 5 days later of 100 + heat scorching hot sun, without a sip of water......THIS IS WHAT I HAVE. I have to start all over! Grrrrrrr......

Oh well. The trip was fabulous! We always have a great time....and we definitely owe Sean, Tina and their two cuties a thanks for the hosting and entertaining!

Here's to idaho!!!!!
